i'm going old school with my outdoor lights...contrary to the rest of my life being fairly energy conscious. i just can't roll with l.e.d. xmas lights...not bright enough!
not even the kitchen can escape a little christmas cheer. i just filled a vase i had with pine cones, grabbed some twigs from outside, and threw on some extra snowflake ornaments to tie the snowflake theme together through the house. then threw a few extra bits and pieces on the cake stands i have on the shelf. easy, modern and rustic all at once.
aside from the christmas tree (which i already posted about) i've been fully getting into the christmas spirit around here...at least the decorating spirit, not so much the shopping spirit...and even better a bit of crafting spirit...because when else do i do crafty things? over the weekend i made holiday 'bunting' (garland in 'american' i guess) which i found at chezlaarson.com...just cut up last years christmas cards (which i did last year as this was supposed to be a post christmas project) and sew them together...cute!
holiday bunting (garland) made form last years christmas cards and sewn together!
...to look alot like christmas awesomeness! since we'll be staying local this year AND since last year we had no christmas stuff up at all (it killed me) because we were renovating...i'm going christmas crazy this year! the tree's just the start.
the newly reupholstered chair is finally back from Dreams upholstery. And it looks amazing...look at those details and how the pattern lines up....amzing! i think the fabric ordered from Tonic Living in Canada was definitely the right choice...sophisticated, fun and modern.
