new rug. our gray ikea rug has really taken a beating lately...2 cats who seem to be frequent pukers will do that. i've had my eye on FLor modular 'carpet tiles' for years. why not give 'em a shot? chris picked up some samples at the showroom on atlantic avenue. now we're just looking to the catalog & website for a cool pattern. they have a great app on their site to try out different looks, patterns, and colors.

we've been looking for a little something to put up on the wall next to the table...it just looked so empty. chris found this great 'green eggs and ham' print while in DC on business. looking good!

we got our replacement eames chair in place just after the new year.
long story short: we ordered one from allmodern.com (who are amazing!) that arrived damaged with one leg broken. we had to wait a bit for a replacement sent directly from hermanmiller. the silver lining? when i asked how i ship back the damaged chair, customer service said "oh you can just throw it out"....what? so chris repaired the chair and now we have two!  don't tell.

sadly, the christmas tree has been thrown to the curb...thanks for making our living look like a fabulous winder wonderland! i just couldn't stand to put away all of the christmas stuff so i kept a few pretty wintery decos around to get me through the long winter :)
this is just my vase of pinecones and branches with snowflakes in the kitchen.
