our architects were chock full of great ideas for interesting lighting...which i love...lighting is an important thing that alot of people overlook. so i'm featuring a few bright ideas they've come up with that i enjoy on a daily basis.
with undercabinet lighting there's always the problem of seeing the ugly fixture. the LED fixtures we had installed aren't THE ugliest things...but i still don't want to see them...just their glorious energy efficient light!
usually people just put a wood filler piece that matches the cabs in front of the fixture (you usually see this on ikea cabs...but probably on lots of others as well).
that's all fine and good, but then you have this block hanging there below your doors.
i've never seen this anywhere else, but our architects (abruzzo-bodziak) and scherr's cabinets made the cabinet doors longer to hide that as well! cool!
